Resumen

El propósito de este trabajo es examinar prácticas de negocios señaladas por empresarios mexicanos como prioridades estratégicas para la competitividad −conocimiento de empleados, efectividad de diseño, relación con clientes, tecnología basada en internet y ubicación de instalaciones−, para determinar su efecto en la ventaja competitiva a través de cinco niveles en la cadena del proveedor de manufactura, puesto que las operaciones de manufactura como estrategia de mercadotecnia conforman la cadena de valor, traducida comercialmente en satisfacer las necesidades señaladas por los clientes
